The 2012 North Shore Jazz Project All-Stars

The Salem Jazz and Soul Festival is recreating and renewing the vibrant jazz scene that began at the Salem Willows in the early 20th century, when Duke Ellington and other musicians from the Big Band era played at the seaside park in Salem, Mass. The festival builds on this rich jazz history — adding soul, blues and funk to the mix — by offering a series of annual free concerts to the public, concluding with our annual main festival held the third weekend in August at Salem Willows.

Our Mission:

The Salem Jazz and Soul Festival is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that produces free concerts for the public and raises money to support music education programs.

We are an all-volunteer organization that relies on donations from sponsors and the general public to cover our operating costs.  All net proceeds from our concerts and Berklee summer music series are  directly returned to music education initiatives. There are many ways to benefit the SJSF. Please click here for more information on how you can help.
